Born on March 31, 1987, in Andhra Pradesh, Koneru Humpy is not only an Indian Chess Grandmaster but also the current World Rapid Chess Champion. A notable achievement in her distinguished career took place in 2002 when she made history as the youngest woman ever to attain the Grandmaster title at the age of 15, although this record was later surpassed by Hou Yifan in 2008.
